Building on Fire | A Workshop for Creatives

After being mostly aimless in my youth, there was a day when everything changed. I was overtaken by the desire to pursue an idea. Developing it, deepening it, and incarnating it. I had discovered what many people call a vocation. A work that would define the rest of my life. A work that would be the source of immeasurable meaning and joy.

This two-day event is designed to help you discover/nurture/develop the project that animates you. It will involve helping you hone in on what your vocation is, as well as looking at how to feed your creativity, avoid self-sabotage, overcome obstacles and make your passion into your livelihood.

Whether you’re an established or aspiring writer, speaker, podcaster, artist, or artisan, this two-day event will be of use as you think about how to move forward in your life.

We’ll not only look at how you build on the fire of your creative passion, but we’ll delve into how you can enjoy the struggles, find joy in the journey, and mobilize the myriad failures that happen along the way.

I’ll be reflecting on my own journey, speaking about all the things that have gone wrong along the way, and how those failures have lead to some of my greatest achievements. I’ll also be offering you plenty of hard-won advice about how to make a living from pursing what makes your life worth living.

This is for people who want to ask themselves: What am I building? How do I move forward? How can I mobilize my discontent? How can I develop an audience? How do I manage my time? What technology can help me?

The event will take place on 7th-8th January, from 10am - 5pm on both days.
