Application
Building on Fire | The Supervision Sessions
The Supervision Sessions is a six month online course designed to help people who want to actively incorporate the ideas of pyrotheology into an already existing community, or who are dedicated to setting up a community influenced by the theory and technology of pyrotheology. The course will involve approximately 4 hours of work per week.
What will the course cover?
The practice of pyrotheology can be broadly split into two areas,
Transformance Art
Decentering Practices
The first involves forming, or reforming, a weekly liturgical experience (covering speaking, music and rituals), while the second involves the development of smaller, more specialized midweek groups. In addition to exploring these two areas, we’ll also be addressing concrete issues faced by participants. Issues that will cover a wide range of themes, from dealing with unhealthy group dynamics, to managing work flow and avoiding burn out.

In order to apply for this course, individuals must meet the following criteria,
Be a community/church leader, or training to become a one (pastor, youth worker, group facilitator, worship leader etc.)

Be able to commit to the full program (Supervision Sessions, Cartels and Individual Study)
structure
One-to-one interview: The purpose of this will be to get to know you and understand your particular needs so that we can set the course of your study.
Supervision sessions: These monthly online meetings will last for 2 hours and will be comprised of a maximum of 12 people. They will be facilitated by me and aimed at addressing concrete issues within the group.
Cartels: These monthly meetings are working units that consist of 3-4 people. In addition to this there will be an expert supervisor to guide the discussions. Each cartel is bound together by a theme of interest to all members. This theme will largely define the direction of the individual study that takes place between meetings.
Individual Study: Each week we will be asking participants to set aside a minimum of 3 hours for personal study and reflection. Guidance will be offered that is tailored to the needs of the individual.
