Topics will include:

purpose

Employing the philosophical and theological approach of pyrotheology, participants will bring into focus the fundamental role of church as an organization. From this foundation we’ll analyse the contemporary cultural, political and religious landscape, exploring how to correctly interpret societal symptoms and how a pyrotheologically informed communion addresses them.

Strategy

I’ll be offering a series of intensive workshops where participants will receive the tools to effectively assess the past, present and future of their churches, as well as exploring ways to implement Transformance Art and Decentering Practices in ways that will positively impact their congregation.

communication

We’ll dive deeply into ways of weaving together song, spoken word and sacrament in a way that allows people to 1. experience, 2. understand and 3. incarnate the radical message of divine self-division. In particular, I’ll be looking at how to communicate complex ideas in compelling, impactful ways; crafting engaging talks for both live and online audiences.

leadership

I want to look at how to develop resilient, dynamic and enriching leadership teams. Exploring how to build trust, alignment and vision.

impact

We will look at how to build locally while developing a global audience. We’ll look at how to use new technologies and social media platforms in ways that will promote and enhance one’s work.

Networking

This will provide an opportunity for people to meet others, share experiences and build an ongoing support network.

Leadership Retreat

29th Sept - 3rd Oct

After the success of my first Leadership Retreat in October, I’m currently planning one for 2025. This is for people who wish to employ the theory and practice of Pyrotheology to develop their congregations.

I’ll be using my decades of experience in both running and advising actually existing communities, to explore all areas related to the development of healthy, thriving churches. All focused on the wider issue of Future Church and how to prepare for the next Reformation.

While there will be plenty of in depth discussion and strategic planning, there will also be lots of time to relax in the luxury, award-winning Crawfordsburn Inn. The hotel has a private Spa with an open-air hydrotherapy pool, hot tubs, sauna and steam room; all nestled in one of the most picturesque locations in all of Ireland.

This is designed for those of you who work in any area of church life (pastors, music directors, youth leaders etc.) and will cost somewhere in the region of $2000 pp, with discounts for groups.

If you would be interested in attending this bespoke retreat, fill in the form below and I’ll follow up with you.
