On the first Saturday of the month I invite you to start the day with me (depending on where in the world you are) for an interactive event in which I present an important philosophical concept that packs more punch than a triple espresso. The ideas we explore will be picked specifically to offer insight into how we might live, love and labour well.
The events are recorded so that people can engage live or listen later.
If you want to do some reading in advance of this months discussion, I recommend an essay called 'The Structural Study of Myth' by Claude Lévi-Strauss.
This essay is one of the most important contributions to the systematic study of myth, and can help to illuminate the way that contradiction works within the mind. The essay is very well written, but gets quite technical near the end, so I'll break it all down for you during the discussion. By the end of this C&C I hope that we will have a very clear and precise understanding of myth, and what it can teach us about the workings of our mind.
