Journal Launch
Sunday 3rd September | Black box | 6pm
Join me for the launch of Religion, Psychoanalysis, Marxism. A work that offers a radical rereading of Christianity by triangulating it within a Hegelian, Marxist, Lacanian frame.
Everyday Analysis produces digital interventions that aim to tactically sabotage the prevailing ideological edifice in the name of a negative universal that undermines identitarian discourse.
The event will be hosted by Alfie Bown and include a reading from Helen Rollins and a short talk by Peter Rollins.
Alfie is the founder of EA and senior lecturer in Digital Media Culture and Technology at Royal Holloway. He is the author of numerous books, including The Playstation Dreamworld and In the Event of Laughter. He writes cultural criticism for publications including The Guardian, The Paris Review, The Independent, New Statesman and Newsweek.
Helen is a writer and filmmaker who lectures in philosophy and art at GCAS. She is a co-host of the art and theory podcast ‘The Lack’ and founded a counter-cultural production company called The Magician’s Niece. She is also the author of Psychocinema (forthcoming).
This event is thanks to Seedhead Arts, but we need to know how many are coming, so fill in your name below to be put on the list.
Thanks!
