How (Not) to Remain Silent

How (Not) to Speak of God was my first published work. It represents both the results of my PhD - which had been completed shortly before I began to write H(N)tSoG - and the lessons learned in ikon - a collective experimenting with what would later be called Pyrotheology. The book reflects my desire to blend the theory and technology of Radical Theology, and is thus broken into two complimentary sections.

In this excerpt I offer the introduction, which outlines how speech and silence interact in mystical thought. Something that anticipates my later work and hints at how theism and atheism interact in the deepest traditions of theology and philosophy.
